Apple vs Amazon

Ah, now the runup in Amazon's stock makes sense. They're pricing in online music market share!

Oh, and they've got a better product than Apple! DRM free?! Sign me up. I think Itunes is just good for podcasts at this point.

I'm waiting for Google to launch one... They already have everything in place to do it, Bandwidth, Storage capacity, Revenue stream, Search, Marketing...

Now Apple has responded - iTunes Plus tracks are down to 99c. Ain't competition grand?

I like what Amazon has been doing to monetize all their back-end knowledge. S3 storage is being used by mid-size websites (as well as my own off-site storage), EC2 seems neato, their Payments system is easy (if you already have an Amazon account) and Mechanical Turk is what I do while waiting for renders.

I know, that was a long sentence.

Waiting for renders, I use mturk instead of doing renders.
